I wrote something about PROJECT-BASED LEARNING OWN-EXPERIENCE… our spirit shared with Susan Gaer, in each of us, as a good developing teacher model in the teaching-learning process.
ReplyDeleteTaking another point of view… most of us, we feel so confident about what do we know and what we do in class, but our learners are expecting always more of us day by day.
This afternoon, I began my class today doing a little change on my teaching way, I remembered the last experiences that I had, and they weren’t the best ones. Nevertheless time’s changed but education is on the same way (traditionally and so methodology).
The main advantage is that Culture and identity never changes, English language will be or have always the same structures to teach them and only we have to motivate ourselves and transmit this kind of motivation to our learners or just be creative with the form that we want to apply a PROJECT in class.
In addition, to implement new ways of showing them is especially necessary to take in classroom. In my personal opinion, I suppose that it’ll be helpful to develop a new system on Strategies Education, because I was educated in a traditional system, and I tested the results. Most of them were good but on the other hand, it wasn’t so pleasant and real for that epoch.
Nowadays our learners have new expectative for learning a specific language and showing interest in languages courses or classes that they really want to take.
For that reason, I take this model to my class <>. Because, it’s what did I do in the past. I used to teach in traditional way or sincerely nowadays I continue doing a little bit because the traditional system doesn’t let me change at all. Yeah it’s necessary and comprehensible to keep in contact with book and texts about English teaching-learning process, but we continue doing the same thing that we read and finally nothing changes.
Or just we leave this context to change someday and we don’t do anything about it. Every day we read about new solutions to problems but the problems always stay there.
So, I think it’s time to change or share my/our visions about Education System. In South America we continue doing the same thing in a traditional Curriculum System.
Now, I’m learning how to apply or motivate students into Project based-learning, and it’s great! Because I feel motivated about it and I can transmit the same feeling to my learners in my classroom.
Something, which I’m applying to my students since this afternoon and has a great advantage is to let the student being more confident and motivated about his/her English on their own likes and results will be there soon...
